Harper Lee's immortal quote from To Kill a Mockingbird is happily changed to "You can choose your friends but I couldn't have chosen a better family," by tiny heroine Madeleine (Maddy) Marie Jensen when referring to her 'Divoon Daddy', a feeling heartily endorsed by Maddy's twelve year-old fiancé, Harry, and an endearment which leads the two through a tale of riotous fun, mystery, and mayhem. Thus follows a series of unprecedented happenings, taking the two and their subsequent offspring, on an unparalleled rollercoaster ride from London's glamorous Belgravia and Chelsea to a not so Gay Paree, and on to the so-called tranquillity of Cape Town and the exotic-but sinister-Caribbean.
