Badania mialy na celu ocenę profilu chemicznego i aktywności larwobójczej olejku eterycznego (EO) ekstrahowanego z liści Pimenta dioica L. wobec larw komara Aedes aegypti. Aktywnośc larwobójcza EO wykazala śmiertelnośc w stężeniach od 10 do 100 mg L-1 i LC50 wynoszące 48,41 mg L-1. Wyniki wskazują, że oceniane EO sklada się z substancji, które mają dobry efekt larwobójczy przeciwko Aedes aegypti, wykazując jego skutecznośc w zwalczaniu i kontroli komara Aedes aegypti.
