Synopsis "El falso mentiroso (in Spanish)"

La vida de Samuel, el narrador y protagonista de esta novela, está construida sobre una mentira, pues al nacer fue separado de su madre biológica y entregado a sus padres adoptivos –los falsos, como él los llama-: “No tuve madre. No me acuerdo de la cara de ella. No conocí a mi padre. Tampoco me acuerdo de la cara de él. No me mostraron foto de los dos. No sé el nombre de ninguno”. Registrado con 19 días de diferencia respecto a la fecha real de su nacimiento, se asume también él mismo como un ser falso. “¿Seré que existo?”, se pregunta. Saber su origen, averiguar quiénes son sus verdaderos padres y responder a la eterna interrogante humana de “Quién soy yo”, se constituye en el mayor dilema de su existencia. Silviano Santiago.
