Y si estuvieras solo en el mundo? Cómo sobrevivirías? Tras vivir una de las escenas más horribles de su vida, Raúl, un joven estudiante de Utah, Estados Unidos, se despierta en un mundo destruido y minado por cadáveres. Pronto, descubrirá que todo ha sido causado por la propagación de un virus que premeditadamente se añadió a los productos Coca Cola y PepsiCo. El virus causa una reacción de extrema defensa que incita al individuo a matar a todo ser viviente que le rodea. Después de las veinticuatro horas, el virus llega al hipotálamo afectando al funcionamiento del corazón, y por lo tanto, causando la muerte del infectado.
