Synopsis "Escape from the Damned: Book II of the Apex Predator Series"
Escape from the Damned is the second novel in the Apex Predator Series. The novel begins 18 days after the first zombies appear in the United States. The cities are overrun by the dead. The survivors are few and scattered. Staff Sergeant Brown and his band of survivors have taken refuge in an abandoned veterinarian's office in rural Louisiana. The group soon finds that they are not alone. The area surrounding the clinic is controlled by a human trafficker and drug smuggler named Thor. The man and his hired mercenaries discover that the group had taken shelter on their turf; plus they have guns, vehicles, and most importantly: women. Soon the group is forced to flee, and runs into Sam Reynolds and his firemen. A car accident sets the two groups against each other. Theresa is forced to take drastic action and the group is split as the search for safety continues.
