Synopsis "Evil Portent: a science fiction novella, with a touch of humor"

Bert strives to liberate an alien planet, and places ours in peril... On the planet Ewepiter, space invaders nicknamed The Guardians farm the inhabitants for the flesh of their children. To escape, or find help, a small group of Ewepitarians use an age-forgotten technology to open a port through the universe. They stumble onto Earth, at a place called The Stables, on the outskirts of London. Mistaken as a bunch of homeless dwarfs, they're assigned a house at number three, Flintstone terrace. Big oafish Bert lives at number one, Flintstone terrace. The Ewepitarians entice him to visit their world and whisk him back to Ewepiter. Despite his fierce appearance, Bert has a warm heart and does all he can to free his new friends from the evil Guardians. Unwittingly, in his clumsy manner, Bert puts Earth in mortal danger...
