Synopsis "Fitting In: When Doing the Right Thing is Not Always Popular"
It is all about the "Locker Room." Kid or adult, the quest, obsession at times is about fitting in room of sort. We all want to be a part of something bigger than our self at the core of our being. This book is about my personal experiences with that and the REAL reasons for most if not all take sports enhancement drugs. It is also about my inabilities to stand up and do the right thing knowing I was doing wrong. At any cost I wanted to be in that locker room. In the end I wanted out, at any cost. I am not sure which one is harder being, an athlete, parent or coach. The pressure to succeed accompanied with a "win at all cost" attitude makes it almost impossible to stand up for what you believe in today's world. I do think it is possible. Steroids run rapid, not only in my particular sport, bodybuilding, but in most sports; sports enhancement drugs or SED's are also used as a form of beauty product in order to look good with females. I have been in the steroid circle for twenty-five years; I know how the system works. By now the public has been insulted so much by the cover up lines it is sadly a joke.
