Synopsis "Good Governance Through E-Based Service Delivery"
The study was generally conducted to analyze good governance at Kaliti Mechanics and Driving Training Center through e- based service delivery practices, benefits and challenges. Specifically, it tried to find out the way of implementing e-based service delivery, assessed the role of e-based service delivery on effectiveness of the service delivery, examined the effect of e-based service delivery on responsiveness of employees, examined the role of e-based service delivery on transparency and accountability, and explored the major challenges of e-based service delivery of the center. The questionnaire administered to 147 clients of e-based service delivery through simple random sampling, interview was conducted for 6 employees and 3 officials of the center, which were selected purposively. Further, 21 clients were selected for three independent focus group discussions. E-based service of driving license issuance is reducing bribe and nepotism, but still there is a problem of corruption, efficiency and responsiveness. Finally, the challenges of e-based service delivery were interruption of light, low capacity of the e-tools, and absence of additional center in providing the service.
