Hello Children, My name is Gorlassar the Swansea Dragon, my name is an ancient Welsh name meaning above the sky and air. I am named this as I was born a very long time ago and I can fly higher than the sky and air. I used to be a naughty dragon who was always breathing fire and trying to scare people, but it was lonely being naughty as nobody wanted to be my friend.Therefore I decided to become a good dragon and now I have lots of friends and I only breathe fire when I hic-up or burp.I live here at HMP Swansea and my job is to fly around protecting all the people who live and work here with me.My favourite food is jelly babies and I love to dance, I am especially good at Street Dance.I am sure you will agree that I am a handsome dragon, although not as handsome as my brother, you will have seen him before as he has his picture on the Welsh National Flag.There are lots of pictures of me in HMP Swansea so see if you can spot me when you are visiting.
