Carmelo Guillén Acosta (Sevilla, 1955) es catedrático de Lengua y Literatura españolas desde 1979. Obtuvo un accésit Adonáis en 1976, así como el Premio Internacional de Poesía San Juan de la Cruz y Tiflos de Poesía de la ONCE. Dirige la colección Adonáis desde 2003 y es Presidente del Jurado que concede el Premio.
