Synopsis "It's Time to Awaken"
Eighteen-year-old Kai Rose should be looking toward a bright, unencumbered future, but instead he's weighed down by a burden he didn't ask for, one many others in an imperfect society shoulder every day. As a gay man, Kai just wants the liberties, rights, and opportunities that are outstretched to his heterosexual counterparts; instead he is met with the government's unrelenting discrimination against the LGBTGIA community. In recent weeks the government has declared a seize of all homosexual people, and the time has come for him to be brought in as well. Feeling more scared and alone than ever, Kai is taken into custody to be cured of his defect, along with all the other defectives in their oppressed society. It is here where Kai is faced with many conflicts, both mental and physical. He can't help but wonder if he can be cured, if society is right about him and his fellow LGBTIA members, or if this is just indisputable injustice to a community for no other reason than complete prejudice. Will Kai be cured of his defectiveness, or is there an ulterior motive behind the government's roundup of non-heterosexual people.
