Synopsis "King & Queen of OSE Mountain: Our Labor of Love"
"The King and Queen of Ose Mountain" Love at its finest. A man and a woman set out in an old truck set out for Alaska to build their peace of heaven on earth. They had to fly there. Land on a small lake walk 3.5 miles up a hill to Duane Ose's Federal land claim. The last federal homesteader to have filed under the Federal Homestead Act of 1862.Duane and Rena met through a magazine ad. The couple for the most part lived off the land of what they could grow and hunt. They built a castle of logs like non other. Each had their skills and worked and lived as one. In Duane's construction experience of housing in the lower 48 States, vowed. "The next house I build will be built by me and a queen." The first one room trappers 'cabin of small logs he built was at the age of nine in this parent's farm grove in Minnesota. In nine years, the King and Queen built a three story 30x40foot Tri-level Castle with patients and a forever loving bond. An example for others. Together the King and Queen built of love a legacy that will last until the end of time.
