Synopsis "Kristie's Shadow: A Sir Walter Cromwell Novel"
Kristy is a high school girl who witnesses a brutal murder by an unknown being. Kristy is so traumatized by the events that she is committed to a state hospital for a while and the doctor there tries many harsh methods to get her to remember the actions and the murderer, but to no avail. Meanwhile Kristy's parents buy a small resort motel on Grand Lake. Shortly after her release Sir Walter Cromwell a retired inspector and writer of police procedure books comes to stay at the resort. He has come to persuade Janet Anderson a longtime friend to join him in investigating paranormal phenomenon, as he has been commissioned to write a book on the subject. Then the doctor who treated Kristy is murdered and Kristy's father is charged with the crime. We find that there is another side to Kristy, a side thought long since dead, and yet it haunts her very being. What is real, who is real, Sir Walter must decipher, the mystery in order to save not only Kristy's father but Kristy as well.
