Synopsis "Kunolúkhwa Means I Love You: Oneida Stories from an Elder Grandmother and Her Grandson"
My grandma and I are on a journey to preserve the library inside her head and heart before it burns down. We, as Haudenosaunee, as Oneida people, are our stories. Stories are our portal to the past and a portal into the roots of our family tree. If I let my grandmother talk, the stories pour out. Her story is my story. Her blood runs through me. Through a compilation of short stories, memories, and conversations, we strive to offer wisdom and insight as an Oneida Tribal elder and her grandson based on the history of our family, community, Tribe, and culture. Everything we do is to honor our ancestors and pave the way for seven generations to come. We reach back generations to understand where we are now and where we are headed. Yaw ko, thank you in Oneida.
