Synopsis "Law Change Regret: The Harmful Social Effects of Transgender Legislation"

The UK Gender Recognition Act (2004) allowed individuals to change the sex that was listed on their birth certificates. Many other nations have followed suit. We can now reflect on the outcomes. The Act transformed several areas of life. In sports, natal males now compete against natal females. The new records that are being set are tainted. And in all places where women are bodily vulnerable, natal males can now share the same space. Growing numbers of rapes and sexual assaults are being reported. Moreover, many academics in the STEM fields are quietly complaining that transgender theory is harming their research. For example, natal females are now being included in studies on male bodies. The results are obviously tainted and useless as a tool for further research. Meanwhile, hate speech laws have been hastily introduced, making it much harder to talk about all the damage that is taking place. Because none of the above makes any rational sense, many citizens are growing frustrated with their social representatives. In this book, I wish to help readers understand the deeper issues at play so that they can make more informed decisions in their area of competence. We look at the validity of the claim that all transgendered individuals are "born into the body of the wrong sex." I reflect on whether politicians have the authority to stop citizens talking about the validity of a new, unproven theory. I ask what happens to any nation when its new definitions of male and female are now unprovable-and whether these definitions can even be used for future legislation. And we look to see if trans rights have any firm philosophical foundation. In the end, we find that every trans law and policy creates a situation whereby far more people are harmed than helped. Social decay is inevitable. Higher taxes will lead to even more families living on the poverty line. We reflect on the mental process that causes social representatives to harm their nation under the banner of compassion.
