Synopsis "Mechanical behaviour of hybrid jute/glass polymer composites"
This book gives an insight about the use of jute and glass fabrics as reinforcement in the modern composites. The hybrid polymer composites of different stacking sequence are fabricated by hand lay-up technique. It discusses about the influence of number of plies, fiber orientation and its stacking sequence. Further, the effect of stacking sequence on tensile, flexural properties of untreated woven jute and glass fabric reinforced epoxy hybrid composites has been investigated both experimentally and numerically. This book is aimed at gaining an initial understanding of the numerical impact behavior of hybrid fabric reinforced polymer composite by using ABAQUS software. The purpose of this numerical investigation is to characterize the effect of ply sequence on the composite laminates subjected to low velocity impact and get the best ply design. The results obtained were compared and found to be in good agreement. This book comprises 92 pages, 41 figures and 3 tables.
