This volume comprises four papers that were presented at the efsli Annual Conference in Antwerp, Belgium from 12th-14th September 2014.This conference addressed the important theme of the cognitive processes that interpreters use on a daily basis in order to perform their work effectively. These "mind tricks" were illuminated across the range of conference presentations, delivered by interpreters, interpreter researchers and interpreters educators from Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The abstracts of the presentations that were not submitted to these proceedings are included as well.
