Synopsis "One Man 500 Miles One Camino"
This book is about a journey of the soul, pilgrim meals, blisters, injury, and other, often very odd, occurrences on the Camino de Santiago across Northern Spain, which I hope you find informative, funny, and motivational.At a push, you could use the book to prop up a wobbly table!So, why do it? Well, it had become mentally and spiritually important for me, so I decided to do it because at the start I was 54 and I wanted to see if I could still do something out of the ordinary, to have an adventure, do something unusual that would test my mental and physical robustness. Could I go on day after day for five weeks? It isn't crossing the Gobi Desert on a pogo stick or sailing the Pacific in a yogurt pot, or indeed going up Everest, but it would still be an adventure, and perhaps that's what I craved deep inside.So, tell us Andrew, what can we expect to read about in your book?Here's a sneaky peak.Disclosing that I was once mistaken for Clint Eastwood. Reflecting upon all this I am thankful for my continued mental and physical robustness.
