Synopsis "Organising strategy of the prophet"
The book deals with organizing, one of the managerial functions of the Prophet [PBUH] of Islam. Examples have been drawn from his biography. Key topic includes the organization structure, allocation of resources and communication strategy in addition to the fundamentals of organizing. It is augmented with a case study; the battle of Uhud has been discussed to explain the phenomenon because the Prophet [PBUH] had applied an innovative approach to organizing his troops during the battle. He had divided his army into two groups. The common approach of the time was keeping the army unified against the enemy because numbers were a strategic advantage. His strategy was unique despite numerical disadvantage. For him, the strategic advantage was the possession of the pass where he had appointed a smaller battalion. Implications for managers have been taken out so that they can apply in their decisions. The Prophet [PBUH] has applied an innovative approach to organize the resources. He had positioned his troops against the mountain Uhad which provided him with natural defense from two sides. He had guarded the third one with a special battalion. Thus, every effort had been made to plan the endeavor to win the game.
