Ya de niño Bob Dylan mostró un gran interés por la música y la poesía. Vivía en un entorno rural y conoció de primera mano la música tradicional americana de origen europeo. En 1959 empezó a estudiar en la Universidad, donde entró en contacto con la música folk y con la canción protesta. Pasaba más tiempo tocando la guitarra y la armónica que estudiando. Se mudó a Nueva York donde empezó a actuar. Gracias a una elogiosa crítica aparecida en The New York Times grabó su primer disco. Dylan se convirtió en un referente generacional. Actualmente es un «mito viviente» y ha sido reconocido con múltiples premios, entre ellos, el Premio Nobel de Literatura en 2016.
