Huluu (Giuris margaritacea) is a kind of local fish that lives on Limboto lake, known as Gudgeon snakehead. This fish is one of the economical fish in Gorontalo. This fish by fishermen is caught with a "Bunggo" trap but also uses an electric fishing gear. The Huluu population has begun to decline, this indicated by the catch of local fishermen who rarely get it. In 2016, the Gorontalo Province Fish Quarantine Agency issued a list of fish species that were included in protected fish species, which were banned from fishing and Huluu were included in the fish list.
