Synopsis "Prisoner to Poet: Thoughts of an Incarcerated Soul"
Prisoner to Poet is about a transition. I went from a college campus to the dormitory of a correctional institution. It was shocking. While inside the institution I had to figure out how to pay my debt to society as well figuring out a path to redemption. I then transitioned from Prisoner to Poet. I used my pen and paper as a form of expression releasing anger, frustration and ultimately finding out who I am. When you're alone, there is an opportunity to find out who you are and decide what you want to become. I decided to seek freedom in thought as display those thoughts on the pages of this book.
