Synopsis "Revolution of Freedom"
In 1910, Mexico was holding an election. Porfirio Diaz was President had been for many years. The people had voted him in twenty five years earlier. Now, the people feared his power so he remained President until this very day. He exercised a rueful leadership, void of passion and mercy. Fabio Monteros braved Diaz dictatorship and decided to run against him in the next election as an opponent. Diaz became fearful of losing and had Monteros thrown into a Mexican prison. The people who supported Monteros joined forces with him and rebelled. Monteros formed groups to hunt Diaz and his supporters. He called men throughout the country. They put word out for all the bandit forces to join the rebellion. They called their group of rebels the "Desperado's."
