For many years, Steve had noticed large, ornate spool cabinets in antique stores. He was drawn to the beautiful woodwork, and fascinated by the colorful spools. With his first purchase, Steve was hooked and began a life-long hobby, which has grown into one of the US' premier collections of these treasures, and has made him arguably into one of the foremost experts on spool cabinets. The only book of its kind, this volume serves as a catalog of the spool cabinets and other sewing memorabilia, which Steve and his daughter, Nancy, have collected for over 40 years.
