In this book the author documented around 200 sensual female image of Kushana Mathura art from Sanghol, Mathura and various stray finds lying in different museums of Indian and abroad like Indian Museum Calcutta, Sanghol Museum National Museum, New Delhi, Mathura Museum, Bharat Kala Bhanvan, Varanasi, Lucknow Museums etc.Kushana were ruling from C. 23 B.C. to 249 A.D. in Northern India and their capital was Mathura. Kushana art is divided into two school (i) Gandhar Art (ii) Mathura Art. Mathura artist mostly used spotted red sand stone Mathura main workshop of Kushana age and Kushana were cosmopolitan and secular. Salbhanjika and various pose of female sculpture is peculiarity of Mathura and Sanghol art of Kushana age. These sculptures images included drinking scenes Bacchanalian scene of Vasantsena, Yakshi with bird. Khadagdharini Yakshi, lady bathing Yakshi with mirror Prasadhika, Bronze Yakshi, double sided Yakshi etc. all made at Mathura studio.
