Sie stellt Lynchs Filme Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive und Inland Empire in den Kontext einer Surrealismus-Forschung, die von einem surreal[istisch]en Stil . lmischen Erzählens ausgeht, der in Filmen wie Luis Buñuels und Salvador Dalís Un Chien Andalou seinen Ursprung fand, nicht aber in konsequenter Weiterführung des Surrealismus im Sinne einer ganzheitlichen revolutionären Bewegung steht.
