Synopsis "Taz - Tales of a Rascal Pooch"

Taz is a Staffie. He is also a little shit, according to Penny, his adoptive mum.In his dodgy youth, Taz spent much of his life caged outdoors, whilst working as an occasional part-time canine prostitute, or ‘stud’ as a dog-for-hire is referred to, a job at which he proudly outshone his rivals. Lacking suitable adult role models to tame his hormones and an ego to match, Taz grew (in stature rather than in any way 'matured') into a dog with some rather appalling and generally unspeakable adolescent tendencies. Whilst his language and habits by no means rendered him an ideal Sunday visitor at one’s parents, he did lay claim to being a rather lovable sidekick to anyone who treated him right. He also had a canny knack for not always doing the right thing at the right time, especially where his best mate, Timmy the Todger, was part of the picture. This adult comedy is written from both Taz’s perspective and from that of his owners, a couple of southern softies living a semi-rural existence in an old cottage on a Yorkshire hillside.Taz – Tales of a Rascal Pooch has been vaguely described as humorous by some, and a pile of word-poo by others. As a read, it would probably best suit current or former pet owners. Alternatively, it could also suit those with or having had teenage boys of their own (or thereabouts), or perhaps anyone contemplating acquisition of either or both of the above. Well, to be honest, the difference between a hormonal adolescent and a pooch like Taz is largely negligible at best.
