Synopsis "The Convergence (Translations From Jorthus)"
The Song of the universe, that ancient cosmic chorus thrumming in the darkness which streams life and energy throughout the stars, is being choked out one voice at a time by forces unknown. One young sengheir of the Majiks particularly attuned to the growing, ominous silence resulting from a systematic planetary genocide within her universe, Lylith Antinon, seeks answers. The second book in the character-driven, genre bending, fantasy series Translations from Jorthus dives back into the lives of The Dawnstone thieves as the new year brings new threats and opportunities. Rebuilding her life after her adventures on the Isle of Daie, Lylith is haunted by her memories and plagued by her remaining unanswered questions concerning a certain changeling. She struggles to reconcile her conscience, so she may relinquish the bitter aftertaste of a broken heart. Determined to gain the title of Magda from the Grand Council and to peel away the layers of myth and deceit poisoning the fabric, nay the core being, of Jorthus, Lylith travels to the Great Library of Caulder. With companions chosen by fate, she must find a way to restore the Spirit-pathways to the Sister-worlds in order to return Their voices to the celestial choir, bringing it to full voice before Jorthus is overrun. As she and others are dragged to the center of a tangled web, converging at the Great Caulderon, Jorthus plucks two unsuspecting off-worlders from the flowing river of existence to assist them. Their chosen path lies beyond a door. Not an ordinary door, but one formed by Soulspeak. Lylith is adamant the answers she needs are on the other side. However, opening a door can lead to danger.
