Synopsis "The Economics Muse I: Worse than the Devil"

The Muses, those goddesses of poetry, theater, history, and dance, inspired all the great art of antiquity. Sadly, the nine abandoned Earth long ago-but they left a secret tenth sister behind. Economics is a discipline that examines the human condition. But all great works of economics require divine inspiration. That's the job of the Economics Muse. Is she up for the challenge? This dark adventure follows the Muse as she recounts her long journey to a forlorn student. While her sisters were being worshipped on Mount Olympus, the Muse was sent to Hades after fighting with the vain Aphrodite. Later, when the Muse's whole family left Earth in the face of Christianity, Zeus instructed the Muse to remain. Now she must do her best to guide humanity and make it prosper. From the Silk Road to the plague-infested villages of Europe, the Muse has her work cut out for her. Hot on her trail are the Venusians, supernatural creations of Aphrodite who live on human blood. Between the schemes of the Venusians and the folly of mankind, the Muse struggles to inspire one of the greatest economic achievements: the free market.
