Synopsis "The Eyes of a Tigress: From royalty to enslavement"
Nine-year-old Aida is the daughter of an African king. She had lived a happy and carefree life in her village, surrounded by family and friends, where she was treated like royalty. But her perfect world is shattered when she is taken prisoner and sold into slavery to the Queen of France. Having her name changed to Raina Destiny, Aida is forced into a life of domestic servitude which may have broken her but instead fills her with a resolve to one day return to her home. As time passes, the queen becomes fond of the African girl, who shows herself to be competent and intelligent, being able to read and write in several languages. But that doesn't mean that everyone likes her and some of the other house workers became jealous because of her relationship with the queen and there is still a long way to go before she can gain their trust. Eventually, when slavery is abolished, the queen offers Raina a choice, to remain or to return to the life she had. But what will she do? Her life is now in France, but her heart will always be in Africa. Will she remain and live as a French lady, or return to the life of royalty she once enjoyed? Whatever she decides, it could change history.
