As he disembarks in Bombay in the early eighties in search of some answers to his troubled life back home, Leo gets caught by an unscrupulous mob that manages to take most of his savings while having him hooked on hard drugs. When he realises how low he has fallen, he escapes to Goa where, having joined a crowd of parties, drugs and easy life, he finally discovers a place in the hills where he finds the strength to clean himself, leaving himself a dark hole in his heart.He travels to Kerala where he meets Michelle, a beautiful young woman. After some passionate time, they decide to travel together. Soon Leo's aloofness becomes too heavy for Michelle's light nature. They slowly start to drift apart.Once in Pondicherry, Michelle is drawn to Alan, a well-articulated and spiritual teacher. Their attraction doesn't escape Leo, and as he is slowly taken back by his inner demons, he receives a mysterious calling to go to a sacred mountain nearby.Duelling between his relationship and the call, Leo finally reaches the mountain where a deep realisation occurs.
