There are funny stories and unfortunately, some sad stories to brief histories on events that were related to the life of Edward and the village of Lilydale. About the AuthorDeanna Marie Huston never thought of writing a book. She was at her uncle's one day for a visit. They were having an afternoon of telling stories about the Village of Lilydale and their family. The uncle said, "Could write a book with all the stories." Before Deanna knew it she blurted out, "I am going to write a book and put all the stories of Lilydale and the Hammond family in it!"She couldn't believe she actually said it. Deanna did not consider herself a writer. She had a few classes in college on writing but that was all. But something told her that she could write it and have fun with it at the same time.Deanna lives in a cabin in Northwestern Wisconsin with her husband, Peter. They are empty nesters as their son is married and has two children of his own. Deanna is blessed with having the opportunity for many wonderful accomplishments and experiences in her life. She worked for thirty-two years in the medical profession and loved her job. She was an accomplished horsewoman, foster parent, traveler, book lover and seamstress. She also dabbled in wedding planning and floral design. While she was in south Texas she sings in the church choir and sang with the Winter Texan Choral and Orchestra.
