Eleven year old Anna is dreading spending her summer vacation on her grandmas old rundown farm, until one day she discovers a ladder made of light, streaming down to Earth from a cloud. Anna just has to find out what is at the top! As she starts to climb the ladder, it begins to shake. Anna holds on for dear life as the ladder is whisked up into the clouds. Anna now finds herself in the mysterious Land Beyond the Cloudswith no way of getting back home. She is soon joined by chatty, honey-loving Tedith. This unlikely pair, encounter the strangest of characters, through weird and wonderful realms as they travel through this strange world. Anna learns that the key to getting home lies within the Crystal Palace. She knows it is located on one of the realms, but she has no idea how to find it. Much to Annas horror, she also discovers that she has a powerful enemy whose mission is to keep her from returning home. Annas journey through the Land Beyond the Cloud takes all of her strength, trust and determination. Each obstacle she overcomes propels her one step closer to the Crystal Palace and home. Or does it?
