By Nineteen Sixty, the fighting in the French, Algerian war was slowing to border conflicts and ambushes. Lieutenant Dugas had already serve one tour in the war torn country, but thinking things were better there decited to return to be with someone she cared for. But she and her sergeant got assigned to a special task force that was specifically organized to confront the radicals that were using tactics of terrorism. The radical faction of the F. L. N. knew no bounds with their brutal attacks on the populace. Both soldiers were combat harden, but seeing and experiencing attacks on innocent civilians brought them to a higher level fighting spirit. The story defines the spirit of the soldiers in their fight against the horror of terrorism.
