This book provides a practical, no-nonsense description of the MMPI-2 and the MMPI-2-RF instruments. It was designed for nonpsychologist mental health professionals who wish to increase their understanding of the MMPI-2 and MMPI-2-RF. The authors provide step-by-step instructions describing how to utilize validity scales to determine if client responses are valid and useable, or suspect. Clinical scales, two-point and three-point code types, and supplementary scales, such as Aggressiveness, Psychoticism, Disconstraint, Negative Emotionality/Neuroticism, and Introversion/Low Positive Emotionality are described. Clinical vignettes are used throughout the book to help readers better understand the persons behind the MMPI-2 and MMPI-2-RF scores.
