Synopsis "The Raw Ideal: A Nutritional Consultancy"

The reason I have entitled the book 'The Raw Ideal' is simply because eating raw and ripe fruit has been shown to be the healthiest diet for human beings. We humans originated in the tropics and for a time, a frugivorous diet was the norm, so it makes perfect sense that we are optimally designed to consume a beautiful variety of fruits containing all the nutrients the body needs. Raw food is enzyme rich and as a result, is easiest for the body to digest and utilise. This will be explained in greater detail throughout the course of the book. Though a diet consisting of raw fruit is optimal, it is not currently available as a sustainable option to everyone around the world, nor is it the dietary choice for all peoples. With this in mind, this book addresses the pitfalls we may encounter as a result of poor dietary behaviours and how we can go about healing from a less than optimal diet.
