Synopsis "The stars in the era of their media consumption"

The field of study of this manuscript is the casting show or talent show, a new television phenomenon which, since the beginning of the 21st century, has occupied an important place in programming all over the world. The idea of dealing with the phenomenon of talent shows stems from numerous conversations I had, several years with Professor Ursula Ganz-Blätter, an expert in TV-Shows, about the phenomenon of talent shows. Our interest was to understand what talent shows were intended to offer and why this type of format was becoming increasingly popular with the public over the years. Talent shows dedicated to singing are the primordial type from which other formats that promote talent have originated. Popstars, broadcast in 1999 in New Zealand, was in fact the first format to promote artistic talent and its goal was to form musical groups. The success of Popstars allowed the export of the format that served as a model for various other formats such as Pop-Idol, X-Factor and the more recent The Voice of.
