Then Sings My Soul is a memoire of Dr. Donald Winters and his wife Frances. This devoted couple gave their entire lives promoting quality church music in the Southern Baptist Convention and training ministers to do so. After graduating from Westminster Choir College, a division of Princeton University the became the first Ministers of Music at First Baptist Church of Atlanta and there developed a fully graded choir program based on the "Westminster Model. After three years of service in Atlanta the Winters moved on the the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary to establish the School of Church Music at that institution. After six years at Southern Seminary the couple moved on the Willian Carey College in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and devoted the remainder of their ministry to building one of the finest church music programs in the Country. This is their story.
