Synopsis "To Kill a Cook"
April 1944 the build up to the greatest invasion the world had ever seen has started. Captain Daniel Power, arrives back in England. Ordered to return for the first time in four years after spending most of the war in the desert, he is he is ordered to attend a training course. Standing on a platform in Dorset in the early hours of the morning he meets Jane Loader. Unusually for Dan she is to be in charge of his training and the mission he is to undertake, she is also destined to change his life forever. After an accident befalls the woman who would have travelled to France with him Jane at short notice takes her place. Flown into occupied France their mission is doomed to failure, their target Field Marshall Ervin Rommel. Their orders, he must not take part in repulsing the invasion. There is also one complication, stationed in the town they are heading for is Jane's husband, and he wears the uniform of the SS. From Dorset to France and to Holland Dan has to balance the war with his personal life. His mother killed by the Luftwaffe his sister blinded by the same bomb. And his love for the woman married to the enemy.
