Synopsis "Urinary Incontinence and Quality of Life in Older Women"
Urinary Incontinence is defined as the involuntary loss of urine due to bladder or sphincter dysfunction that causes a social, hygienic and psychological problem. The aim of the study was to determine the prevalence of urinary incontinence and whether it affects the quality of life of elderly women residing in the San Vicente de Paúl nursing home. The study is descriptive, qualitative, quantitative and epidemiological of punctual prevalence, the research design is non-experimental, cross-sectional. The study population was 31 women over 65 years of age. The sociodemographic card, urinary incontinence test (ICIQ-IU-SF) and quality of life test (I-QOL) were applied.
