Synopsis "Warriors For Jesus: Skill 2 Thinking and Learning God's Way"
Warriors for Jesus teaches Biblical life skills in this series of nine books, for elementary age children, so that in our challenging world they are equipped with the necessary disciplines of peaceful spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:10 - 18). This book, Warriors for Jesus, Skill 2, Thinking and Learning God's Way, provides opportunities to critique use of time spent with electronic media and what that does to the mind. The book covers school success, how God wants us to use our minds in good ways, and, cyber safety. Children are encouraged to think realistically, responsibly, critically, honestly, and, for academic success. Ways to understand and address bullying are also included. Barbara W. Rogers, PhD, EdS, is a mother and grandmother who has served in various ministries since age twelve. In addition to many years of ministry within congregations, she wrote Sunday school lessons for Urban Ministries, Inc. of Chicago during ten years as a stay-at-home mom. And, later, she wrote God Rescues His People and God's Chosen King, activity books for the Herald Press Story Bible Series. As Founder and Director of Christian Life Skills, Inc. her passion is providing resources that encourage children, youth, and families to develop lives pleasing to God in our challenging world. Barbara lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her husband, Dr. John A. Rogers. They have two children and four grandchildren.
