Synopsis "Hypercube Interconnected Communication Network"

The hypercube is one of the most popular interconnected topologies for parallel processing due to its high potential of the parallel execution of various algorithms and easy mapping with high fault tolerant capabilities. It can be used to build a hypercube interconnected communication network with each node having faulty links. In this book, topological properties of injured hypercube networks are studied and simulated using some specific model to evaluate their performance. A simulation study has been carried out to determine performance of the proposed network model with different parameters. In simulation of this fault model of hypercube interconnected network, we set some simulation parameters like order or dimension of hypercube (n), number of faulty links at each node(r), load on the network (fr), buffer space at each node etc. by varying the value of simulation parameters we observe their effect on the performance parameters SR (successfully received services), DR (failed/dropped services) and AR (Active service request).
