David Levithan (New Jersey, 1972) is a renowned American author and editor, noted for his contribution to young adult literature with LGBTQ+ themes. Graduated in English Literature and Political Science from Brown University, he has played a key role as editorial director at Scholastic and founder of the PUSH imprint, dedicated to discovering new talents in young adult literature. His work is characterized by addressing with sensitivity and originality the experiences of queer youth, consolidating him as an influential voice in the genre.
Among his most notable works are Boy Meets Boy (2003), Two Boys Kissing (2013), Every Day (2012), Will Grayson, Will Grayson (2010, co-authored with John Green) and Ryan and Avery (2024).
