Juan José Rastrollo Suárez is Associate Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Salamanca. He earned the Doctor Europeus in Law from the universities of Salamanca and Coimbra, receiving the Extraordinary Awards for Degree and Doctorate. His academic work focuses on the reform and modernization of public administrations, with special attention to public service and public procurement.
In the literary field, he debuted with the novel "Berlin-Barcelona Kabarett" (Salto de Página, 2018), a historical and sentimental story that spans the last years of the Weimar Republic and Barcelona prior to the Spanish Civil War. This work earned him the Miguel de Unamuno Novel Award. He has also published "Challenges and Perspectives of the Public Function of the Future: A Review in Europe and Latin America" (2023), coordinated with other specialists to commemorate the Spanish presidency of the Council of the European Union.
