En 2001 recibió el Premio Nacional de Periodismo. En 2003 fue reconocida por UNICEF, la Oficina Regional para América Latina y el Caribe, la Agencia EFE y la Fundación Santillana por su investigación sobre niñas mexicanas traficadas y explotadas sexualmente en campos agrícolas de San Diego, California.
