Filólogo, lingüista y doctor europeo por la Universidad de Valencia, es en la actualidad profesor titular en la Universitat Jaume I de Castellón. Ha estudiado literatura creativa en Estados Unidos, y lingüística y traducción en diversas universidades del Reino Unido. Es autor de más de setenta publicaciones académicas. Santiago Posteguillo ha recibido el Premio de la Semana de Novela Histórica de Cartagena, el Premio a las Letras de la Generalitat Valenciana en 2010, el Premio Barcino de Novela Histórica de Barcelona en 2014, y fue nombrado Escritor Valenciano del Año 2015.
