Este libro reúne una selección de haikus del poeta japonés Taneda Santōka. Nacido en 1882 y fallecido a los 57 años en 1940, Santōka Es uno de los poetas más admirados de Japón, siendo uno de los más relevantes del siglo XX. Atribulado por su relación con el alcohol y monje itinerante, su contribución al verso libre lo posiciona como uno los renovadores del haiku, liberándolo de exigencias de métrica y palabras estacionales que lo mantenían casi inalterable desde el siglo XVII. Esta edición cuenta con traducción e introducción de Mónica Drouilly Hurtado, quien se dedica a la difusión del haiku en @elhaikudeldia.
