Synopsis "Amlexanox- a Boon for Oral Aphthous Ulcer's: Clinical Study Using Amlexanox for Treating Aphthous Ulcer's"
Recurrent aphthous stomatitis is the most common oral mucosal disease characterized by recurrent painful ulcers in mouth. The success in treatment of RAS is fraught with difficulty owing lack of complete detail into the exact etiology and causative factor of RAS. This probably is one of the reasons why till date there is no cure for this disease. Until a definitive treatment for RAS surfaces, topical analgesic, anesthetic and anti-inflammatory like Amlexanox have a definite role to play in controlling disease process of RAS and can be safe alternative for corticosteroids.
