Synopsis "Brief History of the uni"
"Brief history of the UNI reconstructs the fundamental lines of the historical process of our university on the basis of the Works published or promoted by the UNI History Center. The first edition appeared in 2003 and the 2017 edition was enriched with some information tables from the last decades.
As its autor, Dr. José Ignacio López Soria, points, the purpose of this narrative is to enrich the knowledge about the first institution created in Perú for the training of engineers, within the context of the evolution of Peruvian society, with the intention to motivate the commitment to its permanent development.
José Ignacio López Soria. Filósofo e historiador de formación, José Ignacio López Soria desempeña la docencia desde hace 54 años en el Perú, principalmente en la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, y en varios países de América Latina y Europa. Fue rector de la UNI en el período 1984-1989. Es autor de unos 23 libros y de numerosos artículos sobre filosofía, historia y problemática universitaria. Las publicaciones de los últimos años dan cuenta de una particular dedicación al tema de la modernidad. Ha retomado su antigua preocupación por la ingeniería peruana y su historia.
