Casas Viejas es un reportaje realizado por Sender en el que se relata la represión de la revuelta anarquista que acaeció en la localidad homónima en enero de 1933. Sender estuvo en el lugar tres días después de los hechos y reconstruyó todo el proceso, publicándolo en varias ocasiones, con multitud de variantes. La presente edición recoge el texto que vio la luz en formato de libro en febrero de 1933, versión que se compara tanto con los artículos que aparecieron en el periódico La Libertad en enero del mismo año como con el libro titulado Viaje a la aldea del crimen, editado en febrero de 1934.
